dumb case?!!

lol after much post by miss jessica loh, it needs to be reminded dat the class blog does not belong to her.. hehe here to report wat happened on thursday 28th june..

ccl charged us with Akta Kebisingan once again.. hehe she was saying dat we were starting to get noisy again especially the monitor. then chin defended us n herself. the prosecutor continued by giving the evidence dat chin was ‘oh yea-ing’ the whole time she was teaching. Lol. "Is dat wat u call quiet??" Lol the defending side (us) laughed. Wakakaka!

She proceeded by saying dat nxt time when chin asks the class to get quiet we shall reply by “OH YEA” haha=) N then next time class reunion (she think until so far eh?!!), when chin ask us to keep quiet we shall ‘oh yea’ again, like a class trend.. Omigosh ccl can be darn funny sumtimes. At least dis time she sanggup play wif us lar.. not lk last time wif her ‘so-funny-meh?’ look when she shows clear annoyance wif us. Haha!

she stopped when she sensed dat chin is embarassed. i duno lar i din see chin's face..

aiseh conclusion, the defence is speechless. the prosecutors strong points! succeeded in proving her case.. the verdict : guilty!! haha dumb court case.. juz wana try sumthing a lil difference.. we alwiz blog lk telling story.. trying to make it a court case lol.. my own conclusion : percubaan gagal!! doesn't seem lk a court case. dun hv the talent to blog dy..

dats all.. the failed attempt by,
_dia =)

Future lawyers? Part 2.

Ah..so lazy to write this, but since I have to continue...

Game 5. Reason-Able. We had to complete the flow chart. Sounds easy? Not. They gave us 2 flow charts to fill. One carried the title, "Should the youth be permitted to take part in political debates?". Another was," Should cloning and (something) be legalised." Well, managed to think of reasons and objections to write down.

Lunch break. Yipee!! Ate packed nasi kunyit with chicken..they gave us ANOTHER bottle of water. As lydia says, "We tak kekurangan water in this competition." Believe me. The expert (Lydia) knows best.

Lunch was over. Trotted back to the hall after our potty break (as one of the lawyer guy calls it..he speaks english in a very refined kind of way..favourite of the lot. =D). Anyway, back to the story. We were about to witness the mock trial held by the lawyers. The case was about a teenager who beat up another schoolmate. The mock trial was not bad. We even had to rise for court and all that. The judge (the guy who speaks very refinely(?)) was super funny. I quite enjoyed it, I must say.

After that. Results. RESULTS. We weren't really grabbing the edges of our seat to know the results cz we really didn't expect to win anyway. They showed the scores up on the screen. We got 5th place (actually it was 6th cz there were 2 teams tied at the 2nd spot). Not badla. All in all, i think all of us kinda enjoyed the experience..right???

Ps: OI..those who went for the sunway trip. post la ur experiences here!

Future lawyers? Part 1.

Okaayyy, this is starting to turn into MY blog. Eh, am i the only member in 4S1? Anyway, since I'm so good and kind-hearted, I shall update you guys about the Law Olympiad 2007, organized by the HELP University College that me, Audrey, May Jet, Lydia and Phui Yan took part yesterday (Sat, 16/6/07).

While half the class woke up at what, 4.00 am? We could nicely wake up at 7.30am. Jealous? Anyway, when I arrived at the front gate of main convent, I could see May Jet, Lydia and Audrey. Okay, so I was not the latest. They were waiting for me outside the gate with the other 5S3 girls who also took part. Alrigth, maybe not waiting for ME only lah, Phui Yan and Pn. Pushpinder were nowhere to be found, yet.

So we were waiting outside the gate for both of them. I forgot to mention, we were dressed in our PJ attire with jeans. We could see all the contestants coming in, dressed smartly in their school uniform, most of them in prefect's uniform, blazers and all. Alamak, we look so unprofessional compared to those people. Nevermind that, we were waiting and waiting, even one of the contestants asked us to go inside, maybe we look so pathetic waiting outside or what, we finally decided to give up waiting for them and went inside.

Then we saw Yi Wei. What on earth? We're competing against the Form 6 students too? As you can see, we were every intimidated. Yi Wei has more general knowledge than all of us put together! As we entered, we saw the AMC girls, MC girls, all reading something. Wah, so prepared lah they all! Anyway, we went and registered (be reminded that phui yan was not there yet) and we entered the hall.

The tables were all arranged in groups, we were group number 5 and was placed behind ACS and in front of SMI. The HELP guy gave us a plastic file and some brochures abt HELP and all those. Since we had ZERO books with us to read, we took the brochures and started reading, talk about unprepared and unconcerned! It was almost 9.00a.m, and Phui Yan was not here yet.

Phui Yan arrived and she sat down beside Audrey. Lydia and May Jet were on the opposite side and i was, somewhere in the middle. It's hard to describe because there are no pics. Anyway, the competition began.

First was the game 'whodunnit?'. They give you 3 mysteries and you were supposed to find the culprit and give 3 reasons why you chose the fella. Phui Yan and Audrey and Mystery 1, about some real estate guy getting poisoned in the restaurant, I did Mystery 2 alone (sad huh?) , which was about a hairbrush once owned by Abraham Lincoln getting stolen during a dinner party. Lydia and May Jet did Mystery 3, about a lady getting poisoned during a vacation. Quite interesting. We managed to get all the culprits right. We got a 26/30, our reasons must be inaccurate lah..

The came the Trivia Quiz. The killer. There's 4 sections, if I'm not mistaken, quotes by famous people, cliches, places, and general knowledge. The places section was hard, maybe because we didn't read about it but yeah, HARD. Nothing much to say about it cz we did BADLY. We got 9.5 marks only. But the highest was 14 marks. SO everyone did badly.

What's you verdict? was the third game. We are to play the role of a judge, passing out a sentence. We have to determined whether the accused is guilty or not and the reasons why. There were 2 sentences. Can't remember out score for this one.

4th game was Best Plea and Alibi (maybe i mixed this up with the what's your verdict? I can't remember which came first). Anyway, we had to put ourselves in a defense lawyer's shoes and be creative. We had to use our imagination to create a story to defend our client. All the dumb and smart ideas all came out. Can't remember the score for this one as well.

Okay, I'm tired of typing. Till the next part.

Liberated...really?

May 22nd, 2007. The clock hits 12.20.The (melodic?) words of Mr. Cheang that said, "Ok girls, time's up." Whoa, finally, finally. It's OVER!!! Yeah, just take a look at what he just dropped at my desk. Yay. Homework. Circular measures, yipee. For the holidays, Mr. Cheang says. Aren't holidays supposed to be enjoyed?? Oh well, I expect most of my dear classmates have already finshed it. Killjoy number 1.

Oh, that's not all, was nicely talking with friends then whoosh, a paper lands in front of me. What on earth? Lots of red circles and crosses everywhere. Great, I know what this is. Took a deep breath and slowly shifted my eyes upwards. Ah, there it is. My 'lovely' marks. A big fat 53 staring at me. Sweet. Ee Xin comes back with her paper. Looked at her really, really lovely marks, no inverted commas this time. 20 marks more than mine (calculate and see what she got la). Okay, fine. I would not complain because there are people who got lower than me. But to all those who got super duper high marks, yes may jet, you're counted, 'ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!' There. Now I can get back to getting sober. =D. Killjoy number 2.

I wish there was a Killjoy number 3, unfortunately I can't be overly dramatic and rant about it. So, back to the topic, anyone feeling liberated? Unfortunately, that feeling has deserted me since last week. My normal lifestyle was back, going online, watching tv, but no..no movies though. No wonder I don't really feel liberated, because I was living my old life before exam during exam ( hope I make sense). I blame the super duper long exam though. 10 days!! Really maddening. It's 5 days more than the lower secondary exam. 5 days is a lot you know, imagine how many movies you can watch, tv, (taiwanese, korean, japanese, whatever -nese that most of my series loving classmates watch), hours onlining, books you can devour.

But I digress.

So, hope everyone enjoys their freedom while it lasts. Haha...sorry for my twisted view on everything. After reading this, forget about it and don't let it ruin your day. Enjoy.

*Some parts may be overly dramatic so yeah, just live with it.

I wish u enough~

Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport.
They had announced the departure.
Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, "I love you, and I wish you enough."
The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom."
They kissed and the daughter left.
The mother walked over to the window where I was seated.
Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry.
I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied.
"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?".
"I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.
"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?"
She began to smile.
"That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone."
She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more.
"When we said , 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them."
Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

~I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
I wish you enough EXAMS so that u won't miss them when u don't have to take them =)
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE.....

To all my friends and loved ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH.
~ haiyo ppl. i'm just trying not to keep this blog OUT DATED hehe so i crap a bit lar. yea?? hehe i wish u enough~~~~ =DD
